DIY Installation Guide
Four-Step Process for Installing Decorative Wall Panels
Step 1: Measure and Plan
- Take precise measurements of the wall's height and width, noting any obstacles such as electrical sockets and pipes.
- Lay the panels out on the floor to determine the optimal starting point and minimise cuts.
- Mark a vertical reference line on the wall to ensure the first panel is perfectly aligned.
Step 2: Prepare and Trim
- Ensure the wall surface is clean, dry, and level.
- Use a fine-tooth saw to cut the starter, edge, and corner trims to the required lengths.
- Attach the trims using a strong panel adhesive, checking alignment with a spirit level.
Step 3: Attach the Panels
- Apply vertical beads of adhesive to the back of the first panel.
- Insert the tongue of the panel into the trim, pressing it firmly against the wall and leveling it.
- Continue this process for the remaining panels, ensuring each tongue-and-groove joint fits tightly for a seamless appearance.
Step 4: Finalise and Seal
- Carefully cut around switches or pipes using a jigsaw or utility knife; test the fit before securing.
- Install the final edge or universal trims, then apply color-matched silicone to corners and joints for a watertight seal.
- Clean the panels, remove any protective film, and allow the adhesive to fully cure.
